COMBINED COOLING, FREEZING, AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATING SOLUTION

As part of Maersk’s commitment to reach net zero, the new distribution centre in Hamilton will feature advanced energy management. This includes solar energy, rainwater harvesting, a low carbon policy for the construction and of course an Advansor climate solution combining cooling, freezing, air-conditioning, and heating into one system based purely on the natural and sustainable refrigerant CO2.

Heat Recovery
Heat recovery is used for defrosting, floor heating and hot tap water and will help reduce energy consumption making the solution both sustainable and cost effective.

Permanent Magnet Motors
Permanent Magnet Motor compressors have been added to every single rack on MT and IT compressors which will ensure an extra 7-8% energy savings.

STANDARD CO2 SOLUTIONS

A PERFECT MATCH

The solution consists of 7 racks: three racks for the meat blast freezing process providing an impressive capacity of 702 kW at -45°C each and four racks for cold food storage.

For logistical purposes, the blast freezers have been designed in 2, so each module could be placed in 40-feet containers.
